An elite team of scientists within ASICS Institute of Sports Science (I.S.S.) were given carte blanche to rethink the running shoe from the ground up. They spared no expense, ignored all existing design conventions and the result was the launch of ASICS's most revolutionary running shoe ever, Metarun.

For the global launch of the shoe we created an embellished and more mysterious version of the ASICS I.S.S. lab in Kobe, Japan, and used that visual world as the setting for all communications across film, print and social media. We started with a teaser campaign that ran in the weeks before launch, and then revealed the shoe in all its glory to elite runners around the world.
